On average, the DaVinci IQ herb chamber can hold about 0.34 grams of loose-leaf materials, the glass spacers can reduce the capacity of the IQ’s chambers by 50% and by 75% which creates a smaller space for you to keep your herbs. Glass Spacer First – loading the glass spacers first allows longer heat up time although it adds an extra layer of protection which prevents finer grounds of loose-leaf material from passing through the vapor path. Because the DaVinci IQ vaporizer is a conduction vaporizer, the reduced surface area means that fewer herbs will get into contact into the heated surface. You’d have to wait a little longer for the IQ to get going.

1. Load the glass spacer into the chamber first.
2. Place ground material on top of the spacer.
3. Tamp it firmly.
4. Close lid.

Material First – when loading the materials first, you allow the materials to get in contact with more heated surface area and the herbs are heated faster compared to loading the glass spacers first. Although, when loading herbs first, you must know the exact number of herbs as packing a lot of herbs before the spacer results in a very tight airflow.
